Our court agreement is that for the month of December Jim gets the boys every other weekend for one night...

Friday-Saturday

But I offered to let him get them after work Saturday and I'd pick them up Sunday before church. This way it was easier for him.

And I offered him Christmas eve morning...

But the boys got sick..

And pink eye..

So our plans have changed...

I am thrilled that I don't have to be away from my babies.... but now I don't know how to do my plans with them! haha.. Whenever They are with their dad I try to busy myself with things that are hard to do with 2 toddlers....

Well, Merry Christmas.. in case I don't write again before.

This is my 401st POST!

I began this blog when Adam was a teeny tiny baby...

 

Whenever I go back and read my early posts I sound so naive... I honestly believed that my family would stay intact...

 

As I mourn the loss of my marriage.. and my vision of having an intact family and attempt to make the best of a bad situation..... I reflect on this journey.

 

Becoming a mom has changed me more than almost anything!

 

Being a mom has given my life purpose.

 

I LOVE being a mom.... and I hope to have more kids someday... but if I don't. That's OK! I love my boys more than my own life. They mean the world to me and I'm so blessed to be their mom.

Pink eye?

Friday night Jonathan woke up in the night covered in puke and poop... so he got a middle of the night bath...
Saturday he was just fine... but I began noticing a bit of goo in his eye... o great.. pink eye.
I immediately began treatment, chamomile tea compress... silver.... and ibuprofen...
but it was just getting worse...

So last night I think.. he's so puffy and pink maybe it's more an allergy... so I gave him benydryll....

He woke up today and was icky crusty... but after I cleaned that up.. NO GOO!

hmm.... maybe it was allergies... Idk..

But I'm Thrilled NO ONE is puking... or goopey!

- I said yes but didn't realize you were proposing... so you took it back...

May 19th 2011 You said you didn't know what you wanted and needed time to think if you wanted our family.... so I told you to go and take your time. I packed you an overnight fully thinking you'd spend a weekend away and miss us.... but you never came back.... instead you moved in with someone else in August of 2011....

Feb 14th 2012 You told me you were filing for divorce
March 6th 2012 you filed for Divorce

..... January 7th 2013 is scheduled to be the finalizing of our Divorce.

That is 3145 days that I was yours. 8 years, 7 months and 9 days....

Wow, I haven't posted ANYTHING in over a month??? ! Wow...

I can totally tell when my life gets busy.... blogging becomes the last thing on my mind.

This semester is wrapping up... so I think I can post a little. Not too much because I still have finals to complete.

We survived Thanksgiving.. it was fun. The boys enjoyed themselves.

Jim started his time with the boys and this month begins his first overnights with them. Saturday actually.

I have lots to do with MUMs... school... the boys... trying to keep my house in order.. o wait that last one never happens! haha... my house is always messy. But hey, my kids are happy!

Adam's Eyes

Adam and I traveled to U of M monday for another post op appointment. So far his eyes are doing well.. these photos were them testing if he can see 3D and colors. He passed!

And so far his alighnment is doing great. He still has some crossing when he looks up but it's not so bad it warrents surgery. We have to keep coming back every 3 months so we will be there again in January for his eyes.

1 in 3 kids will need additional strabismus surgeries, here's hoping he isn't one of them.
